When you start taking supplements it's always a good idea to begin slowly. Many people find that they get the best results when they start taking one digestive enzyme at the start of each meal the first few days. After a few days try taking two enzymes with each meal and see if you get additional results. Some people get better results with two, and some people only need to take one.


When is the best time to take digestive enzymes?

The best time to take digestive enzymes is first thing when you sit down to eat. If you forget to take the enzymes you should take them as soon as you remember because the enzymes will still assist with digesting food in your body. Consistency in taking digestive enzymes is key when it comes to results.


How to get the best results with digestive enzymes

Drink an extra  couple of glasses of water a day in-between meals. Why? Water helps lubricate the digestive system and activates enzymes. When not taking digestive enzymes with a cooked meal the body may not be breaking the food down totally. Therefore the food just travels down through the digestive system until it is excreted. When you take enzymes with your food, what might happen is that you are now processing and breaking that food down better and therefore your body may need more water to stay hydrated.
