ULCERATIVE COLITIS

Colitis is inflammation of the colon; ulcerative indicates it has advanced to ulcers. Symptoms include those of colitis plus blood in the stool, nausea, vomiting and anemia; the severity of these is often much greater than with colitis alone. Treatment is the same as with colitis but because of the ulcerations additional digestive enzymes are needed.

URTICARIA

Urticaria is another word for hives. Urticaria is an allergic reaction occurring when someone is exposed to certain foods or medicines. Allergies are not the only reason someone might get hives. Some infections, hot or cold temperatures, or even stress can make urticaria appear.
