TINNITUS

Tinnitus is ringing in the ears. It may occur in one or both ears and be intermittent or persistent. The causes include: a side effect of taking an aspirin once a day or more often, prescription medications, vitamin deficiency (not detectable by blood work) or rarely something serious such as a brain tumor. Most often doctors eliminate the serious cause and overlook the others. Obviously treatment is to eliminate the cause.

TOXIN

A poisonous substance that can damage living cells and tissue inside the body. Toxins can enter the body from the outside environment (drugs, alcohol, pollution) or they can be produced inside the body as waste byproducts of metabolism.

TRIGLYCERIDES

Triglycerides are 3 fat molecules lumped together. They circulate in the blood stream and are associated with hardening of the arteries, heart disease, stroke and diabetes. It is important to change the diet and reduce the intake of high fat foods, processed sugars and alcohol.
