OSTEOPOROSIS

Osteopenia means less bone which leads to Osteoporosis which is bone loss. Bone is a living organ comprised of cells that build bone (osteoblasts) and others that destroy (osteoclasts) older bone. After the age of 30, the rate of osteoclast activity gradually surpasses that of osteoblasts. Osteoblast activity depends on calcium supplementation with magnesium, vitamin D-3, and critical cofactors including silica and boron. Approximately 50% of women are at high risk for developing osteoporosis.
