Everything we taste, touch, smell, see and hear creates a memory. When we sleep at night the mind remains extremely active sorting through it all. It is as if much of the information is thrown away while other information is placed in file cabinets for us to retrieve when we want to remember it. There is both short term cabinets for more recent events as well as long term for memories from many years prior. A good memory depends on quality sleep, circulation and nutrition.

A variety of symptoms may exist including ringing in the ear, dizziness, nausea and hearing loss in one or both ears. The cause is unknown but it is not a virus or bacteria. It is associated with PMS, allergies, improper glucose metabolism, vitamin deficiencies and poor circulation in the small vessels of the ear. Avoiding refined sugar and eating more fruits and vegetables along with supplements gives relief.

Menopause is not a disease but rather the end of a woman’s reproductive years. As hormone levels decline symptoms include loss of sex drive, vaginal dryness, mood swings, night sweats and weight gain. Also there is an increase risk in heart disease and bone loss. Replacement hormones cause Cancer, Stroke and Heart Attacks and are not recommended even if “bio-identical”. Balancing hormones with supplements is safest and addresses the quality of life while reducing risk of cardiac disease risk and bone loss.

Migraine headaches involve 2 parts. First the aura: for about 30 minutes before headache onset, the person feels a sense of doom, may see flashes or specks across their visual field and nausea. This is because blood flow to the brain is decreased. Second, blood flow is restored and the headache starts along with severe pain, vomiting and blurred vision. Stress, allergies, constipation and lack of exercise can be triggers.

Metabolism is the set of chemical reactions that happen in living organisms to maintain life. These processes allow organisms to grow and reproduce, maintain their structures, and respond to their environments.

Mucous membranes line and protect the inside of your body. You can find mucous membranes inside of your nose, mouth, lungs, and many other parts of the body. Mucous membranes make mucus, which keeps them moist.

The spinal cord connects to the brain. The majority of nerves lead into the spinal cord and transmit information to and from the brain. The nerves, cord and brain are coated with a protective layer called myelin. In M.S. the immune system mistakenly thinks the brain and cord are the enemy and creates inflammation at various sites throughout. Patches of inflammation cause scar tissue, hence the name multiple sclerosis (many scars). The key is to correct the immune system, fight inflammation and promote healing.
